Dear Editor:

So your position is that private property rights trump gun rights and that employers should be able to forbid employees from bringing weapons on company property. This effectively says that the right to bear arms in defense of self and state supposedly guaranteed by the state constitution only applies to the bourgeoisie. Workers can be deprived of that right based on their need to earn a living.

This shows the bankruptcy of bourgeois constitutional rights. If you don't have a right to earn a living, other rights don't mean much. Supposedly we have the right to bear arms in self-defense, but if the boss doesn't like it that you have the means to defend yourself, he exercises his veto power. Supposedly we have freedom of speech, but if you say something the boss doesn't like, you can lose your job.

Well the best way to earn real rights is to exercise them. Perhaps some bosses will be shot for trying to ban firearms from the workplace. We can only hope that's the case.
